We are a full-service event and wedding planning, coordination, and decor company dedicated to the philosophy that the best memories are the ones you can still "hear" years later: the collective gasp when doors open, the perfect transition of a song that defines a relationship, and the seamless flow of a day where the logistics are so silent they allow the emotions to be loud.
The "Why" Behind the Name: A Family Legacy
We founded The Sound of Creating Memories because we noticed a profound gap in the industry. Too often, events are "produced" but not truly "felt." We saw hosts buried in timelines and couples overwhelmed by decor choices, losing the "sound" of their own joy in the process. Our business exists to reclaim that joy by managing the complex coordination and intricate decor, giving our clients the mental space to actually hear their vows and laugh with their friends.
The name is also deeply personal—it is a tribute to the family that powers this dream. The Sound stands for a beautiful connection to some of the people we love most: our sons, Traven and Sam, who run our sister company, The Sound Disc Jockey Service; my fiancé, Chris; and myself, Melinda. Together, we provide a seamless, multi-sensory experience. While Traven and Sam ensure the literal "sound" of the event is perfect through their professional DJ services, Chris and I build the visual and structural world around it. We aren't just a business; we are a family dedicated to ensuring that every client walks away with a core memory they can still "hear" for a lifetime.
